Accessibility Statement

Cimolai S.p.A. is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Italian Law No. 4 of January 9, 2004.

This accessibility statement applies to the website: https://www.cimolai.com

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Annex A of the UNI EN 301549:2018 standard (WCAG 2.1 – Level AA), due to the non-conformities and/or exceptions listed below.

Non-accessible Content

In preparing this statement, WCAG 2.1 standards and user experience testing by a panel of individuals with various disabilities were taken into consideration. These users tested the website using assistive technologies such as major screen readers (Jaws, NVDA, and VoiceOver) to assess content accessibility.

The tests revealed that some users may encounter difficulties in accessing certain pages or features of the website, which are only partially accessible.

Below is a list of content currently not compliant with Law 4/2004:

1.1.1 Non-text Content

Some images on the site are missing alternative text or have incoherent descriptions.

1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only

Some video content lacks accessible alternatives such as text transcripts.

1.2.2 Captions

Some videos are missing captions or contain unsynchronized captions.

1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative

Some videos do not provide audio descriptions or an equivalent descriptive alternative.

1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence

While content follows a logical and hierarchical order, some links (e.g., in the “Projects” section) are not accessible via keyboard navigation.

1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose

Some links and buttons lack appropriate attributes or structures to be properly interpreted by screen readers.

1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus

The navigation menu opens automatically without a clear user interaction and does not close without a focus change.

2.1.1 Keyboard

Not all website elements are accessible using the keyboard.

2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap

Although modals and pop-ups do not block navigation, some elements cannot be selected using keyboard-only navigation.

2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide

There are autoplay animations or videos on the site that do not provide accessible controls for pausing, stopping, or hiding.

2.4.1 Bypass Blocks

Skip links to bypass repetitive content, such as the navigation menu, are missing.

2.4.3 Focus Order

As noted under criterion 1.3.2, some links do not follow an accessible focus order for keyboard users (e.g., in the “Projects” section).

2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)

Some links do not clearly convey their purpose, making it harder for screen readers to interpret them.

2.4.6 Headings and Labels

The global search form does not correctly present labels and functionalities to major screen readers.

2.4.7 Focus Visible

The visual indicator for active focus is not sufficiently clear or visible.
