Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une \u00e9tape cl\u00e9 dans la construction du t\u00e9lescope, qui confirme le bon fonctionnement de la structure et des syst\u00e8mes de mouvement con\u00e7us pour contr\u00f4ler avec une extr\u00eame pr\u00e9cision une masse aux dimensions exceptionnelles.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le test s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 \u00e0 Cerro Armazones, dans le d\u00e9sert d\u2019Atacama, au Chili, \u00e0 environ 3 000 m\u00e8tres d\u2019altitude, o\u00f9 l\u2019ELT est actuellement en cours de construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:2rem\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605-1024x576.png\" alt=\"ELT Telescope over Cerro Armazones\" class=\"wp-image-16442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605-18x10.png 18w, https:\/\/www.cimolai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ELT_Cimolai_202605.png 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:2rem\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Le test de rotation azimutale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>La structure actuellement mise en mouvement p\u00e8se environ 3 500 tonne<\/strong>s, un poids qui atteindra 4 600 tonnes une fois les miroirs et les instruments scientifiques install\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le mouvement a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en <strong>deux phases<\/strong> : la structure a d\u2019abord \u00e9t\u00e9 tourn\u00e9e <strong>manuellement de quelques centim\u00e8tres<\/strong>, avant d\u2019effectuer une<strong> rotation compl\u00e8te<\/strong> \u00e0 l\u2019aide de <strong>moteurs auxiliaires<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La structure repose sur une<strong> couche d\u2019huile de seulement 80 microns<\/strong>, qui permet un mouvement fluide et contr\u00f4l\u00e9.
