Description:Construction of the new Palaitalia multifunctional arena in Milan, designed to host ice hockey games during the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and, subsequently, concerts and other sporting events. The activities included the structural design of the workshop, as well as the supply and installation of the metal structures for the arena and the adjacent parking area, totaling 6,200 tons of steel. The project specifically included the construction of the main roof, suspended external bodies, the podium, the garage, and accessory structures, all treated with surface coatings for corrosion and fire protection. The roof, characterized by an elliptical shape, was built using truss beams made of tubular and box profiles. For the assembly of the central section, four temporary supports were used, while completion was carried out using cranes. For the garage, a canopy was constructed on the roof, made of open profiles to support photovoltaic panels.
