Protection, safety, reliability

The technical expertise gained over decades enables Cimolai to create high-performance structures, developed to meet the specific requirements of military infrastructure and advanced security systems.

Activities include the design and construction of shelters, buildings with armoured doors, hangars and aircraft storage structures, as well as works intended to provide protection against explosions and extreme stresses.

Each project is developed with the aim of ensuring reliability, resilience, and maximum protection of strategic assets.

WSF – Weapons Storage Facility

Client: U.S. NAVY – NAVFAC

Gen. Contractor: Cimolai Spa

Description: Construction of a railway connection for the U.S. Army Camp Darby military base, extending 2.7 km before branching into two separate yards. The railway runs on an earth embankment and crosses the Navicelli Canal via a 500 t rotating steel bridge and a 70 t fixed bridge. The project is completed by a river quay for loading/unloading operations, the installation of electrical, fibre optic and fire-fighting lines with the relevant hydrants, and environmental compensation works.
