E-Environment

For the environment

Cimolai considers environmental protection a priority, integrating the reduction of environmental impacts into its development policies, production system management, and offered services.

To actively and responsibly contribute to the fight against challenges posed by climate change, Cimolai applies the best available practices, optimizing environmental management effectively from an economic perspective as well.

To this end, Cimolai has developed an approach based on the analysis of the environmental aspects and impacts of its activities. In addition to implementing measures to mitigate environmental risks, this approach makes it possible to identify opportunities and improvements in its performance.

Cimolai is committed to reducing its direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions to help mitigate climate change, reducing the company’s energy consumption, and using energy from renewable sources.

In 2024, 20.8% of electricity came from renewable sources: partly drawn from the 100% renewable-certified grid, and partly produced by photovoltaic systems installed on the roofs of the plants.

Our HSE Policy (Health, Safety and Environment) reflects our commitment to operating with full respect for people and the environment. Through a structured process of identification and assessment, active at all organizational levels, we ensure that risks to people, equipment, and assets are properly evaluated and controlled in order to keep them within acceptable thresholds.

We have also established a Health and Safety Committee, which supports continuous monitoring and the periodic updating of assessments, in line with regulatory developments and changes in business processes.

These include the establishment of a Social Performance Team, responsible for promoting and monitoring the application of the international SA8000 standard on social responsibility.

WelfareCare

For several years, we have been carrying out a structured workplace health prevention program. Thanks to our collaboration with WelfareCare, we bring prevention directly to the workplace, offering free screenings for conditions such as breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

A concrete way to make access simpler and more immediate, and to reaffirm that taking care of one’s health is a right, but also a shared responsibility.

Parent Project

Parent Project APS is an association of patients and parents with children affected by Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy.

Since 2018, we have supported the association in its fundraising activities, also through participation in Dolomiti x Duchenne, a sports and charity event that brings together bikers, families, volunteers, and staff in a spirit of conviviality and inclusion.

Art & Book

Together with Arte e Libro, a social cooperative committed to the employment inclusion of disadvantaged people, we have launched the Laundry Workshop for Cimolai.

A project that promotes the employment inclusion of people with disabilities or belonging to protected categories, through concrete and ongoing activities.

Voce Donna

Together with Voce Donna ONLUS, an anti-violence center active in Pordenone and Tolmezzo, we have launched an internal training program for our employees.

La Volpe sotto i Gelsi Project

Every Thursday, the Porcia headquarters hosts the Orto Solidale market, a social farming initiative promoted by Cooperativa Il Piccolo Principe.

The project promotes the employment inclusion of vulnerable people through the production of locally grown organic fruit and vegetables.
An opportunity to buy seasonal fruit and vegetables, together with natural products such as jams and snacks, directly within the company premises, while supporting the Il Piccolo Principe Community, active between Casarsa and San Vito al Tagliamento.

Sustainability is inseparable from ethics and transparency. For this reason, we are adopting appropriate governance structures and policies, harmonizing our management systems, and investing in sustainable innovation.

SUSTAINABILITY TEAM

Cimolai has established a Sustainability Team with the aim of defining an organizational system capable of reconciling economic objectives with the social and environmental goals of the relevant territories, in compliance with international standards.

The adoption of certified management systems allows us to constantly monitor performance indicators and continuously improve our processes. The Energy Management System complies with ISO 50001, the Safety Management System with ISO 45001, while the Environmental Management System complies with ISO 14001.

Cimolai is committed to contributing, with a sense of responsibility and moral integrity, to the development of the Italian economy and the civil growth of the Country. We believe in the value of work and consider legality, fairness, and transparency to be fundamental prerequisites for achieving our economic, production, and social objectives.

The adoption of a Code of Ethics defines the values and principles that inspire Cimolai, as well as the standards of conduct intended to regulate the activities of all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and all those who, directly or indirectly, permanently or temporarily, establish relationships, relations, or collaborations with the Company.
