The structure built by Cimolai has successfully completed its sea transfer from the Monfalcone plant to the French city, where it will be prepared for installation operations.
The Anne de Bretagne bridge reached Nantes on the evening of Saturday, March 7, successfully completing a complex sea transfer that connected the Adriatic to the French coast. After a long journey across the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the structure sailed up the Loire to reach its final destination at the Port of Cheviré, where it will be prepared for the subsequent on-site installation operations.

From Monfalcone to France
The steel deck, which departed from Monfalcone on board a barge, underwent a complex sea transfer that required careful logistical planning and the coordination of several technical operations.
During the journey, the structure crossed the Adriatic Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, stopping in Almería, in Spain, to be loaded onto the semi-submersible vessel Trustee, tasked with transporting it across the Atlantic Ocean to the French coast.
The unloading operation off Belle-Île and the ascent of the Loire to Nantes
Once the French waters off Belle-Île were reached, a delicate controlled unloading operation was carried out. During this phase, the bridge and the barge were successfully released from the semi-submersible vessel, allowing the structure to continue its journey towards Nantes.
The entire operation required high levels of precision, coordination and safety, involving specialized technical teams and careful monitoring of weather and sea conditions.
