Description: the core of the project is the renovation of the central court, the “Philippe Chatrier” and involves the reconstruction of the existing stands, and the installation of a retractable steel roof. The roof consists of 11 box girders (called “wings”) in high resistance steel, one of which is “fixed” while the others are “mobile”.Each of these girders have a height of about 3 m and a span of more than 100 m.
